Account and data deletion
Last updated: 2026-05-05
This page belongs to the IKnowICT mobile app (developer: M.C. van Olst, t/a IKnowICT) and the customer portal at panel.iknowict.com. It explains how to request deletion of your account and data.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to info@iknowict.com with the subject "IKnowICT app account deletion request".
- Send the email from the address linked to your IKnowICT account, so we can confirm the request is from you.
- Include your name and, if you have it, your customer number or company name.
- Tell us whether you want full deletion, or only deletion of specific data (for example just your profile picture or chat history).
We acknowledge your request within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. If you still have an active customer relationship (e.g. active hosting or open invoices), we will first contact you to wind that down together.
What gets deleted
- Your login credentials and authentication account in our directory (FreeIPA).
- Your profile data: name, email, phone, mobile, address and company name in the customer portal.
- Your profile picture and any other files you uploaded through the app (e.g. expense receipts).
- Messages and conversation history in the in-app chat.
- Session tokens and API tokens.
Biometric data (fingerprint or face) never leaves your device, so we have nothing to delete on our side — you can wipe it yourself by uninstalling the app or by turning off biometric sign-in in the app's settings.
What we keep, and for how long
- Invoices, payments and related accounting records: 7 years, due to the Dutch statutory tax retention period (article 52 of the General State Taxes Act). Where the law allows, this data is anonymised, but the financial records themselves must be retained.
- Server logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint): up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting. Deleted automatically after that.
- Email correspondence that documents a legal or contractual obligation: up to 7 years.
